The technical aspects of these courses are <br />comprehensively emphasized to instill more confidence once in the workplace. <br />The GMC curriculum is career -oriented, highly relevant, and up to date. Our program <br />development process includes regular revision and updating of course materials, supplemental <br />resources, and equipment at least every three years. <br />Instructional Facilities and Equipment <br />GMC has one main campus location. For vocational programs and continuing education courses <br />the main campus's classrooms facilities and equipment are used. See the section Location and <br />Contact Information. <br />Equipment, supplies, and materials for all programs and courses are owned by GMC. All durable <br />medical equipment meets or exceeds the standards for learning and mastering the knowledge <br />and skills for each program or course. <br />GMC uses state of the art technology to facilitate instruction through interactive resources, <br />hands-on skills manipulatives and electronic simulations, and use of computers and multi -media. <br />Instructional Methods of Classroom and Distance Education <br />Programs and courses can be approved for different instructional methods: correspondence, <br />classroom, hybrid, and online. Distance education refers to both correspondence and online <br />education. Programs and courses can be taught through distance education have these <br />additional criteria. Distance education does not require the physical presence of students and <br />faculty at the same location but provides for interaction between students and faculty by such <br />means as telecommunication, correspondence, electronic and computer augmented educational <br />services, postal service, and facsimile transmission. <br />Students enrolled in a distance education shall receive access to their course and the first lesson <br />and any materials within seven days after acceptance for admission. The approximate number of <br />days that will elapse between the GMC's receipt of student lessons, projects, or assignments and <br />the institution's mailing of its response or evaluation is seven business days. <br />The student shall have the right to cancel the agreement and receive a full refund per the refund <br />policy in the catalog before the first lesson and materials are received. Cancellation is effective <br />on the date written notice of cancellation is sent. GMC shall make the refund pursuant per the <br />refund policy in the catalog. If GMC sent the first lesson and materials before an effective <br />cancellation notice was received, GMC shall make a refund within 45 days after the student's <br />return of the materials. <br />GMCCatalog-230101 14 <br />
