Unless other arrangements have been <br />made, all accounts must be current before national or state exams can be taken. <br />-Late Charges <br />The School may impose late charges if the student does not make a scheduled payment <br />when due or if the student falls to submit to the school on or before the due date of the <br />payment. The School may add the Late Charges to principle the day after the scheduled <br />payment was due or include it with the next scheduled payment. See Appendix A for <br />Schedule of Charges. <br />-Loan Repayment <br />If a student obtains a loan from a third party to pay for an educational program, the <br />student will have the responsibility to repay the full amount of that loan plus interest, <br />less the amount of any refund. <br />-Extension Fees <br />If a student needs more time to complete their program of study, an extension can be <br />requested. There is an extension fee, see the appendix for fees and charges. <br />Financial Aid <br />GMC does not receive state or federal funds for tuition payments. Federal Financial aid is not <br />available for any program or course. If financial assistance is needed, students are encouraged <br />to contact local credit unions or banks for private loan services, and to contact local county <br />offices for assistance. <br />Transfer Credit to GMC from Other Institutions <br />Challenge Exams and Achievement Tests <br />GMC does not award transfer credit for challenge exams or achievement test for continuing <br />education courses or vocational programs. <br />Prior and Experiential Learning <br />For continuing education courses, no prior or experiential learning is allowed. <br />For vocational programs, GMC may make allowances for prior and experiential learning. If <br />allowance is made, GMC may accept up to 75%transfer credit for didactic and practical related <br />program content. Students must participate in an interview if required. Upon receipt of all <br />materials, the interview would be conducted, and the final award of credit determined and <br />awarded by email within 30 days from receipt of materials. The administration will notify the <br />student of the assessment outcome. If the student is unsatisfied with the outcome, the student <br />may appeal the decision, and this must be done in writing and additional documentation must <br />be provided at that time.
