Continuing Education and Completion Courses <br />GMC proprietary courses are developed by GMC, all curriculum and instruction are provided by <br />GMC, and the course completion and continuing education completion certificates are under <br />the GMC logo. See Appendix C for relevant CE's. <br />Critical Care Suite <br />Cardiovascular Disorders <br />Cardiovascular Disorders is designed to address a variety of diseases and disorders in the <br />cardiovascular system. Topics include atherosclerosis, acute coronary syndrome, angina, <br />myocardial infarction, percutaneous coronary intervention, fibrinolytics, cardiac surgery, heart <br />failure, peripheral vascular disease, venous disease, aortic aneurysm, and aortic dissection. The <br />content includes risk factors, etiology, path ophysiology, assessment, diagnostics, complications, <br />and current management. Successful completion of the course is required attendance and <br />completion of homework and quizzes. <br />Instructional methods include correspondence and online. <br />Course duration is 10 hours. <br />Neurological Disorders <br />Neurological Disorders course is designed to address a variety of diseases and disorders in the <br />respiratory system. Topics include assessment of the unconscious patient, Glasgow Coma Scale, <br />Traumatic Brain Injury, Epidural/Subdural hematoma, intracerebral bleed, stroke, Locked -in - <br />Syndrome, and brain death criteria. The content includes risk factors, etiology, <br />path ophysiology, assessment, diagnostics, complications, and current management. <br />Successful completion of the course is required attendance and completion of homework and <br />quizzes. <br />Instructional methods include correspondence and online. <br />Course duration is 10 hours. <br />Respiratory Disorders <br />Respiratory Disorders course is designed to address a variety of diseases and disorders in the <br />respiratory system. Topics include atelectasis, pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome, <br />COPD: emphysema, bronchitis, asthma, pulmonary Edema, and pulmonary embolism. The <br />content includes risk factors, etiology, pathophysiology, assessment, diagnostics, complications, <br />and current management.
