ARTICLE V <br />5.0 SALARIES <br />5.1 Basic Compensation Plan. There is hereby established a basic compensation plan for all <br />full-time employees who are now employed or shall in the future be employed in any of <br />the designated classifications of employment represented by CASA as listed in this MOU <br />and its attachments. <br />5.2 Salary Schedule. The basic salary schedule contains numerous salary rate ranges, each <br />comprised of six (6) steps or rates of pay. <br />The steps within each rate range are identified by the letters "AA" through "E" inclusive, <br />with Step "AA" being the lowest step in the range. <br />Step "AA" is the normal beginning pay rate. <br />Step "A" is an automatic increase after the completion of six (6) months of service in Step <br />"AA". <br />Steps "B" through "D" are automatic step increase after the completion of twelve (12) <br />months of service. <br />Step "E" is a performance based step increase which an employee may be eligible to <br />receive after the completion of twelve (12) months of service in Step "D". <br />The assignment of classifications to salary rate ranges is listed in Exhibit A of this MOU <br />and the City's salary schedule, as periodically updated and published by the City. <br />5.3 Salaries. <br />A. Effective the first full pay period following Council adoption of this 2022-2025 <br />MOU, classifications represented by this MOU shall receive a base salary increase <br />of three percent (3%). <br />B. Effective the first full pay period after July 1, 2023, classifications represented by <br />this MOU shall receive a base salary increase of three percent (3%). <br />C. Effective the first full pay period after July 1, 2024, classifications represented by <br />this MOU shall receive a base salary increase of three percent (3%). <br />D. All active employees in the Association as of City Council approval of this 2022- <br />2025 MOU will receive a lump sum payment of three thousand three hundred <br />dollars ($3,300.00) effective the first full pay period following City Council <br />approval of this 2022-2025 MOU. <br />CONFIDENTIAL ASSOCIATION OF SANTA ANA (CASA) MOU: JULY 1, 2022 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2025 <br />Page 10 <br />
