Orozco, Norma
From: Jesus Diaz De Leon <
Sent: Tuesday, August 15, 2023 1:13 PM
To: eComment
Subject: Support for Agenda Item 14
Dear Santa Ana Council Members,
I trust this email finds you in good health. I am writing to express my wholehearted support for Agenda Item 14,
which focuses on the enforcement of public intoxication laws in our city. As a lifetime resident and concerned
citizen deeply invested in the well-being and safety of our community, I believe that this proposed agenda item
is a crucial step toward creating a safer environment for all residents.
Public intoxication has significant negatively impact the quality of life in our city and has put the safety and
well-being of our residents at risk.By enforcing stricter regulations on public intoxication, we can address
disturbances and incidents that compromise the safety and comfort of our neighborhoods. This initiative aligns
with our city's commitment to fostering a secure and welcoming atmosphere for residents, businesses, and
visitors alike.
I applaud the comprehensive approach outlined in Agenda Item 14, which appears to consider the rights of
individuals while prioritizing the collective welfare of the community. Implementing measures to curb public
intoxication can lead to a reduction in public disturbances, protect vulnerable populations, and ensure that
public spaces remain inviting and safe for everyone.
I recognize the importance of balanced decision -making, but I sincerely urge you to consider the potential
positive impact that supporting this agenda item could have on our city. I am confident that by embracing this
initiative, we can contribute to a more secure and harmonious environment for all members of our community.
Thank you for your dedication to our city's well-being and for your thoughtful consideration of my support for
Agenda Item 14.
Sincerely,
Jesus Diaz DeLeon
Santa Ana Resident
Ward 2
