This is a major concern for the Santa Ana hotel community; public intoxication and substance abuse by individuals is a deterrent to attracting guests and generating visitor revenue to the local economy. Preventing interactions between hotel guests and those who are publicly intoxicated or engaging in substance abuse is detrimental to not only our individual property, but to Travel Santa Ana's efforts in promoting Santa Ana as a destination for families, sports groups, meetings, events, and more. The benefits of the proposed enhanced enforcement efforts is not only about community safety, but the safety of visitors, as visitor spending is integral to Santa Ana's economy!
