PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK <br />Project scope of work will be comprised of two phases: Part 1, Site Master Plan, will involve <br />development of a site specific master plan of the east end of the park, then Part H Contract Documents <br />which will prepare plans and specifications that can be publically advertised for bids for construction. <br />Consultant shall consider existing components of the park, but also reflect input collected during the <br />community engagement process, which will be part of Phase I. <br />Pool Facility components shall include at minimum: <br />• New Aquatics Building, to include: <br />o Front desk area <br />o Multi -Purpose room <br />o Training Room <br />o Locker Rooms, Showers, Restrooms. include Family locker room. <br />o Staff Offices <br />o Life Guard Office <br />a Break roam <br />o Pool Equipment Room (Mechanical) <br />a Pool Storage Room <br />• Swinuning Pool <br />o New 25' x 50' meter pool, with 7'-0" depth <br />o Tall portable guard chairs <br />o Area for Bleacher seating <br />Site Components may include, but is not limited to: <br />o Splash Park area (approximately 1,000sf) <br />o Sports courts (basketball, volleyball, hand ball, pickle ball) <br />o Fitness equipment area <br />o Band shell and lawn area <br />o Picnic <br />o Open Space <br />o Walkways, lighting <br />o Park signage <br />o Site Furnishings (benches, picnic tables, trash receptacles, dog waste stations) <br />o Historical Marker or dedicated area as "living memorial" to incorporate intention and <br />dedication by former Governor Earl Warren. <br />o Storm Water Mitigation <br />o Water Wise Landscaping and automated irrigation <br />Consultant shall also consider circulation, security, visibility, emergency action procedures, lighting, <br />ease of equipment servicing and delivery, maintenance when laying out functions. Consultant shall <br />also looks to Memorial Park's history to draw cues and inspiration for the park's redevelopment. <br />Schedule: This project is on an accelerated timeline. Consultant shall be prepared to have <br />Contract Documents for Phase I (Aquatics Facility) completed and ready for Public Bid <br />Advertisement by April 2024. <br />City of Santa Ana RFP 23-061 <br />Page Al -2 <br />
