Please see letters attached <br />letters from the following: 1) Rancho Santiago Community College District, 2) Letters from 2 <br />Health Clinics, 3) Letter from the City of Santa Ana, Downtown representa tive supporting the <br />Business community. <br /> <br />G. Include a copy of the Work Experience policy as Attachment F. Please see attached OCCTAC’s <br />Work Experience Policy. <br /> <br />6. Alternative Secondary School Services (3 pages max): <br />A. Describe in detail the alternative secondary school services or dropout recovery services <br />that will be made available for youth. Youth will meet with the Educational Counselor at <br />OCCTAC at least once a month to receive assistance as they decide to pursue their education. <br />Youth and Counselor will meet and create monthly goals, which will lead to youth obtaining <br />their diploma/GED. Counselor will provide youth with the various options available to them <br />and will provide guidance along the way. The Counselor and youth will write down the path <br />youth decides to take. Counselor will check in with youth periodically to ensure that youth is <br />fulfilling all requirements. Prior to meeting with youth, the Educational Counselor will <br />research the alternative secondary school services available near the youth. Counselor will <br />gather information regarding requirements, costs, rules, schedules, entrance exams, etc. and <br />provide to youth this information. In addition, the counselor will prove youth some examples <br />of alternative secondary school services located in Santa Ana, provided below in Table 7. <br /> <br />In summary, the Educational Counselor will meet with each WIOA youth to obtain a better <br />understanding of the participants’ needs. During this meeting, the Counselor will gather more <br />information relevant to the youth’s needs. Together, the Educational Counselor and youth <br />will find the program that best suits the participant. Then, they will call and set up an <br />appointment to meet with the representative of the program. The Counselor will attend this <br />meeting with the youth to advocate for the participant’s best option. After this meeting, the <br />participant and the counselor will strategize on how to proceed further.
