<br />Doug is a senior interpretive planner and exhibition designer, creating engaging
<br />spaces and experiences in museums, interpretive and science centers, zoos
<br />and aquariums, parks and historic sites. He combines a keen sense of narrative
<br />and a fresh design approach with excellent organizational skills and the ability
<br />to facilitate collaboration amongst diverse teams. Doug will work closely with
<br />the client, Color -Ad, and R&P design team on the development of spatial and
<br />thematic plans, interpretive delivery concepts, and specific exhibition designs
<br />for the Eco-Center's renewed interpretive gallery and public spaces. He will work closely with City, Zoo
<br />and Education staff in the development of thematic structures and interpretive experiences that build
<br />on the Eco-Center's vision and core themes, in order to engage diverse local communities in connections
<br />with the natural world, and in their own roles in maintaining healthy ecosystems.

<br />Candlestick Point State Recreation Area: Interpretation Master Plan, California State Parks,
<br />San Francisco, CA, USA, Role: Senior Exhibit Designer
<br />Doug led the interpretive planning team in the development of an Interpretation Master Plan for Candlestick
<br />Point, the first urban State Park in California. Working closely with a community -based Advisory Committee
<br />through multiple workshops, community outreach, and public open houses has yielded a plan which integrates
<br />local voices, health and recreation concerns, and themes of environmental and social justice into a plan for
<br />interpretive media and programs that will tell the story of a community's changing relationship with the shoreline.
