2022-2025 MOU City of Santa Ana & SEIU Full-Time Employees Unit Page 28 <br />non-residential energy plan check, shall be paid an incentive pay differential at a <br />rate set above their base monthly salary step in accordance with the following <br />schedule: One (1) certificate from one (1) specialty area: five (5) salary rate ranges <br />(approximately two and one-half percent (2.5%); an additional certificate from a <br />second specialty area (total of two (2)): ten (10) salary rate ranges (approximately <br />five percent (5.0%)); an additional certificate from a third specialty area (total of <br />three (3)): fifteen (15) salary rate ranges (approximately seven and one-half percent <br />(7.5%)). Effective January 1, 2023, the pay differentials in this provision shall be: <br />one (1) certificate from one (1) specialty area: approximately two and one-half <br />percent (2.5%); an additional certificate from a second specialty area (total of two <br />(2)): approximately five percent (5.0%); and an additional certificate from a third <br />specialty area (total of three (3)): approximately seven and one-half percent (7.5%). <br />o Assistant Engineer <br />o Associate Engineer <br />o Civil Engineer <br />o Senior Civil Engineer <br />o Senior Engineer <br />o Senior Traffic Engineer <br />o Assistant Plan Check Engineer <br />o Associate Plan Check Engineer <br />o Senior Plan Check Engineer <br />o Senior Transportation Analyst <br />C. An incumbent in one of the classifications listed below who possesses a valid <br />certificate issued by the ICBO, (or similar nationally recognized certificating <br />organization) in the area(s) of building inspection, combination inspection, <br />electrical inspection, mechanical inspection, plumbing inspection, combination <br />dwelling inspection, plan examining, accessibility/usability (one (1) specialty area), <br />residential energy plan check, or non-residential energy plan check, shall be paid <br />an incentive pay differential at a rate set above their base monthly salary step in <br />accordance with the schedule listed below. <br />Incumbents who possess a valid certificate issued by the ICBO in combination <br />inspection may substitute this for building inspection or combination dwelling <br />inspection; however, incumbents shall not receive incentive pay for more than two <br />(2) of these three (3) certificates. <br />One (1) certificate from one (1) specialty area: five (5) salary rate ranges <br />(approximately two and one-half percent (2.5%); an additional certificate from a <br />second specialty area (total of two (2)): ten (10) salary rate ranges (approximately <br />five percent (5.0%)); an additional certificate from a third specialty area (total of <br />three (3)): fifteen (15) salary rate ranges (approximately seven and one-half percent <br />(7.5%)); an additional certificate from a fourth specialty area (total of four (4)): <br />twenty (20) salary rate ranges (approximately ten percent (10.0%)); and an <br />additional certificate from the fifth specialty area (total of five (5)): twenty-five (25)
