2022-2025 MOU City of Santa Ana & SEIU Full-Time Employees Unit Page 59 <br />•The number of hours of compensatory, holiday or vacation time to be <br />donated, within the limitations of Section 10.10A(3); <br />•The name, department and employee number of the recipient; <br />•A statement indicating that the donor understands such donation of time <br />is irrevocable. <br />3. At the close of the donation period, the department shall verify that each <br />donating employee has accrued vacation, holiday, and/or compensatory time <br />balances sufficient to cover the designated donation. <br />4. The department shall submit all approved donation authorizations for an <br />eligible employee at one time for processing. No donation authorizations for <br />the eligible employee will be processed after this period. However, employees <br />who receive donations under this procedure and who exhaust all donated hours <br />may request an additional donation period subject to the provisions of Section <br />10.10A. <br />5. The City shall add the donated time to the recipient’s sick leave bank. <br />10.11 Court Appearances <br />A. City Business <br />Compensation for court appearances due to City business shall be as follows: <br />1. For each required court appearance (including but not limited to, depositions, <br />meetings, and interviews) during an employee’s off-duty time, said employee <br />shall be paid overtime for the period of time from their arrival at court until <br />they are released from court or the court session closes for that day. However, <br />in no case shall an employee receive less than two (2) hours overtime for a <br />court appearance. <br />If separate court appearances are made both in the morning and afternoon of a <br />particular day, a minimum of two (2) hours overtime will be allowed for each <br />session attended. <br />If the employee is not released from a morning session and must remain <br />available for afternoon court, the employee shall be paid overtime for all hours <br />the court is in session that day. <br />The employee must provide a copy of the subpoena requiring their attendance <br />to initiate payroll procedures.
