Conceptual design, construction documents, and
construction support services for renovations to the Main
Street entrance at Santiago Park. Improvements support the
City's goal to provide access to nature, outdoor space for
play and exercise, and opportunities for social connection,
human development, and lifelong learning. Improvements
include the relocation of the main road for new
pedestrian/bicycle path adjacent to the creek with
recreational and respite opportunities. Programming
includes new viewing deck, interpretative signage, picnic
areas, drinking fountains and security lighting, new signage,
and gates, as well as a small parking lot. Native riparian
planting revitalizes the project area offering improved
aesthetics, beautification, educational opportunities and
defines the new space.
Preliminary plans, design alternatives, and construction
documents for landscape renovation and improvements to
an 8-acre site including an 8,000 SF historical monument
plaza at the intersection of Sunset Avenue and Mountain
Street. Site elements include interpretive metal panels with
historic City elements, granite boulder seating, preservation
of existing mature Oak trees, interlocking concrete pavers,
and low water use planting.
References
Year
Completed
Client
Name
In Progress
City of Santa
Ana
Contact Gilbert Castillo
714-647-5647
NUVIS PM T.
