Additional outreach with community members and feedback
from City Council resulted in a preferred alternative that brings together
elements from each alternative into a cohesive layout. The preferred
alternative celebrates the City's history through interpretive elements
and highlights its natural assets, including orienting the amphitheater
with views of the surrounding mountains and integrating planting and
hardscape to effectively move water in swales and provide an aesthetically
appealing landscape feature. The playground and splash pad make use
of existing site topography to create a multi -tiered play space that also
references the surrounding mountains, which is one of the celebrated
features of living in Beaumont.
PlaceWorks is leading a team of engineers and product designers
and is also providing CEQA services to ensure the project is ready for
construction. The development of construction documents, plans,
specifications, and estimates is currently under way.
Return to Proposal page 1-20
A-57
