1. INTRODUCTION / PROGRAM DESCRIPTION <br />Nature of Work: <br />The City of Santa Ana, California is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide <br />adult crossing guard services to aide primarily school children of our community as they <br />walk to and from school. The out -sourced crossing guard program will include <br />recruitment, training, coordination, and management of the entire Adult Crossing Guard <br />Program. The crossing guard program will be conducted in the City of Santa Ana. <br />The City of Santa Ana intends to award a contract for a minimum term of three (3) years <br />with an option to extend the contract one additional two—year term. It is anticipated that <br />this new contract will commence on July 1, 20231. <br />Number of Pro]2osals and Signature: <br />Three (3) hard copies are required to also be delivered in addition to the electronic submittal <br />of the complete proposal package on PlanetBids. One of the hard copies shall be marked <br />as "ORIGINAL" and be signed by a company official with the power to bind the company, <br />and submitted to the City of Santa Ana. Please be explicit in identifying the appropriate <br />person with legal authority to bind the company. Note: the <br />The Statement of Qualifications, detailed in this RFP under Section 111, shall be limited to <br />a maximum of (10) double -sided pages (excluding front and back covers, section dividers <br />and attachments such as resumes, forms). Font size shall be minimum I I -point Arial. <br />Proposal exhibits and/or attachments shall be maximum size of I I inches x 17 inches. <br />Proposal Evaluation and Rating: <br />The criteria for evaluating the SOQ submitted will take the following items into <br />consideration: <br />• Overall understanding 25% <br />• Qualifications and experience 25% <br />• Supervisory personnel's qualifications, experience, time commitment 25% <br />• Overall quality of the proposal 25% <br />The City will establish a proposal review committee to evaluate proposers based on the <br />response to this RFP, which includes adherence to outlined directions and format, and the <br />City evaluation criteria set forth above.
