(D City of Santa Ana
On -Call Engineering Services (RFP No. 23-030)
Landscape Architecture and Site Design
Landscape and Irrigation Plans
Landscaping and irrigation plans will be prepared by our team, if necessary. Landscaping and
irrigation plans include plant palettes, tree species, hardscape, locations of irrigation control
valves, identification of water sources, and other important features of park and parkway design.
Park Design
We understand the importance of parks to the City, and we have worked on several projects
involving Public Works' park planning staff, including Santa Anita Park, Santa Ana Zoo, King
Street Pocket Park, and several others. Our team is capable of producing designs for entire city
and regional parks, as we have done for San Fernando Regional Park, John Anson Ford Park in
Bell Gardens, and East Side Regional Park in Visalia.
Site Design
Our site design approach includes the following architectural, electrical and mechanical
elements. The process also includes the design of instrumentation and control systems, and
systems for fire protection.
Environmental and Planning Support
The CWE Team is adept at preparing CEQA/NEPA documents for water, sewer, and flood
control infrastructure projects throughout Southern California, and have the in-house technical
expertise to prepare a successful environmental document for most any infrastructure project.
The report includes the field investigations, technical studies, and environmental documents to
move the project into final design. The engineering studies conducted at this phase typically
include: traffic engineering and modeling, preliminary structural, roadway geometric,
stormwater, preliminary geotechnical, utilities and right-of-way. Tasks will include regulatory
compliance with federal, state, and local agencies.
Grant Writing Services
Once a grant opportunity is identified and the City has approved us to move forward in pursuing
the funding opportunity, CWE will review the application requirements and prepare a list of items
needed (plans, concept reports, cost opinions, etc.) from the City project participants to
complete the application package. The following steps are anticipated once a project and grant
program have been agreed upon with the City.
CWE reviews application/program guidelines, attends overview webinar or seminars
when applicable, and requests needed information from the City
Prepare grant development schedule (identifying deliverable dates, review timelines, and
grant deadlines)
Kick-off conference call with City to discuss data needs and City perspective on the
project
Coordinate with stakeholders to collect pertinent information and/or letters in support of
the project
P".
