TAIT & Associates, Inc. <br />On -Call Engineering Services <br />Quadrant Ill Water Main Replacements <br />City of Chino, CA <br />TAIT has provided design services to the City of Chino for approximately <br />7000 linear feet of new 8-inch PVC water line replacing a similar length of <br />50-year old 6-inch ACP lines within 13 residential street. Over 170 customers <br />will be affected during construction. The City required that all points of <br />connection to be upgraded to include the newer and larger PVC water pipe <br />and the installation of new water values in each cross street. Eight of the <br />thirteen segments require obtaining approvals from the State Division of <br />Drinking Water due to restricted horizontal clearances in the narrow <br />residential streets. To assist the City in meeting an early delivery schedule <br />for one of their current water projects Quadrant III water plans were <br />separated into two separate bid contracts. The first segment of 2800 LF was <br />recently awarded at a low bid price of $990,000 and construction is slater to <br />commence in April 2018 and be completed in 6 months. The second bid <br />package received City authorization to advertise in February 2018 and was <br />scheduled to be constructed in 2018. <br />Drainage Improvement Project Phase 1 & 2 <br />Diamond Bar, CA <br />TAIT was hired by the City of Diamond Bar to provide design engineering and <br />construction management services for Phase I & Phase 2 of the City's <br />Drainage Improvement Project. This project included three separate areas: <br />V Brea Canyon Road — Parkway Drain System & Perforated Drain <br />V Hipass Drive — Sub drain System, Low Flow Storm Drain & X-gutters <br />V Golden Springs —Sub drain System& Low Flow Storm Drain <br />This project included extensive coordination with the City and the design <br />team in order to recommend and implement final design scenarios for each <br />location. Appropriate water quality treatment systems were implemented <br />in all systems that have direct storm drain connection (modular wetland <br />system), and the sub drain system and crossing were analyzed to avoid <br />conflicts. During the construction phase, TAIT managed the contractor in <br />order to review the field operations, respond to design related inquiries, <br />updated designs based on final field needs, and successfully completed the <br />construction project.
