ATWOOD MULTI -PURPOSE TRAIL <br />Client: City of Placentia Public Works Department, Kyra Tao, Transportation Manager, (714) 993-8121, ktao@placentia.org <br />Type of Work: Alta is providing overall project management, leading the development of concept plans, preliminary cost <br />estimates, feasibility study, community outreach, hydrology report, and coordinating extensively with OC Flood Control District <br />and Caltrans Local Assistance. <br />2. TRAFFIC CALMING WITH CLASS IV BIKE LANES: PARKWAY DR. AND DENHOLM ST. <br />Client: City of El Monte, Lee Torres, City Engineer, (626) 580-2055, Itorres@elmonteca.gov <br />Type of Work: Alta is working with the City of El Monte to calm traffic and improve roadway safety on Parkway Drive and <br />Denholm Drive. This is being accomplished through the design of a Class IV Bikeway and additional traffic calming measures <br />such as removing existing speed humps and other methods as deemed appropriate. Thusfar, Alta has evaluated existing <br />conditions, facilitated community engagement, and developed conceptual and final plans. <br />3. HIGUERA ST. COMPLETE STREETS AND NEIGHBORHOOD GREENWAY I SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA <br />Client: City of San Luis Obispo, Adam Fukushima, Active Transportation Manager, (805) 781-7100, afukushima@slocity.org <br />Type of Work: Alta worked with San Luis Obispo to support their Active Transportation Program grant application for design <br />and construction funding to implement a neighborhood greenway as well as a robust permanent Class IV bike facility along <br />Higuera Street. Alta prepared additional 10% Concept Plans for the Meadow Park Neighborhood Greenway, developed <br />rendered cross sections of the Higuera Street improvements, prepared engineers construction estimates, and provided detailed <br />analysis on the benefits the project would have. In addition, Alta is preparing final engineering plans, specifications, and <br />estimates for the project. <br />ALTA PLANNING + DESIGN, INC.
