A refundable deposit will be collected on Commercial C&D projects to ensure proper collection and recycling of Construction & Demolition debris. The deposit will be calculated at $1 per square foot, with a minimum deposit of $500 and a maximum of $75,000. This new plan review process for Construction & Demolition waste is mandated by the State of California and is established in SAMC Sec. 16-36. The following fees are already being collected by the City and exist in the Land Management System, SAPIN, but are not listed in the Miscellaneous Fee Schedule. Prior to the implementation of a new system, Clariti, fees need to be added so that SAPIN/Clariti and the fee schedule have a 1:1 match. 5.
