City of Santa Ana <br />Agreement No.: D2201000 <br />Project No.: C-06-8478-1 10 <br />Page 9 of 48 <br />EXHIBIT A — SCOPE OF WORK <br />A.1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION, USEFUL LIFE, AND SCOPE OF WORK. <br />(a) The Project is the project set forth on the Cover Page of this Agreement. <br />(b) The Useful Life of this Project is at least thirty (30) years. <br />(c) Purpose. <br />The Project is for the benefit of the Recipient and has a Useful Life of at least 30-years. The <br />objectives of the project are to eliminate the leaking septic tanks and leach fields, which will help with <br />preservation of the Santa Ana Groundwater Basin and prevent and reduce contamination of <br />municipal and domestic supply wells. The project will also capture additional sewer flows to the <br />Orange County Groundwater Replenishment System (GWRS) thereby augmenting recycled <br />deliveries. Finally, it will also provide greater reliability and lower long-term costs to the residents for <br />their sewage needs. <br />(d) Scope of Work. <br />The Recipient agrees to do the following: In this project, the City of Santa Ana will annex a 24.71-acre <br />unincorporated area and provide sewer service to its 275 residents. The project involves: <br />• Sewer main improvements on Ponderosa Street including 630 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch diameter <br />sewer main, five sewer laterals, and two 48-inch diameter sewer manholes. <br />• Sewer main improvements on Pasadena Avenue, Medford Ave, and Deodar Street including 635 <br />LF of 8-inch diameter sewer main, thirty sewer laterals, and two 48-inch diameter sewer <br />manholes <br />• Septic tank conversion including abandoning 32 existing septic tanks and construction of 32 <br />private side connections to public sewer mains. <br />A.2. STANDARD PROJECT REQUIREMENTS. <br />A.2.1 Acknowledgements. <br />The Recipient shall include the following acknowledgement in any document, written report, or brochure <br />prepared in whole or in part pursuant to this Agreement: <br />"Funding for this project has been provided in full or in part through an agreement with the State Water <br />Resources Control Board. California's Clean Water State Revolving Fund is capitalized through a variety <br />of funding sources, including grants from the United States Environmental Protection Agency and state <br />bond proceeds. The contents of this document do not necessarily reflect the views and policies of the <br />foregoing, nor does mention of trade names or commercial products constitute endorsement or <br />recommendation for use." <br />Exhibit A <br />
