Public Works Agency <br />www.santa-ana.org/public-works <br />Item # 18 <br />City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br /> Staff Report <br />March 21, 2023 <br />TOPIC: Agreement With Southern California Edison Company <br />AGENDA TITLE <br />Agreement to Extend License with Southern California Edison Company for the <br />Bristol/Alton Bike Trail (General Fund) <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Authorize the City Manager to execute a License Agreement (Contract No. 9.5074) with <br />Southern California Edison Company to continue the use of Edison property for the <br />Bristol Street and Alton Avenue Bike Trail for a term from May 1, 2023 through April 30, <br />2028 in an amount not to exceed $1,587, subject to non-substantive changes approved <br />by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On May 1, 2008, March 4, 2013, and April 17, 2018, the City Council approved a five- <br />year license agreement with Southern California Edison Company (Exhibit 1) for the use <br />of property at Bristol Street and Alton Avenue for parks and public recreational <br />purposes. The property is used for the Alton Bike Trail connection between the Pacific <br />Electric Bike Trail and the Santa Ana River Bike Trail (Exhibit 2).
