B. SERVICE / MAINTENANCE <br />Service / Maintenance pricing shall remain <br />firm for the initial term of the agreement. <br />For lease and rental Equipment, the <br />Maintenance term is equal to the term of <br />the lease or rental (12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 60 <br />months). For Purchased Equipment, the <br />initial term is whatever period of time the <br />Purchasing Entity elects, as long as it does <br />not exceed 60 months on Group A, B, D and <br />F and 84 months on Group C Devices. <br />If a Purchasing Entity wishes to renew a <br />Maintenance Agreement for Equipment <br />acquired under this NASPO ValuePoint <br />Master Agreement, then Sharp, the local <br />authorized dealer or SBS location may <br />negotiate new pricing. This pricing shall not <br />exceed this Master Agreement Pricing. <br />C. SERVICE ZONES <br />STANDARD URBAN SERVICE <br />Service rates are calculated based on service <br />zones. Standard Urban Service applies to <br />units located within 60 miles from a service <br />provider. <br />RURAL SERVICE <br />For units located 60 miles+ from a service <br />provider, additional rates may apply. <br />D. SERVICE ESCALATION <br />If the Equipment has been at the Purchasing <br />Entity's location for more than five (5) years, <br />then Service / Maintenance pricing shall not <br />exceed 107% of the Service and Supply <br />pricing in the Master Agreement for years 5 <br />through 7, and 110% for years 8 and <br />beyond. <br />VIII) SERVICE BILLING <br />PURCHASED / FINANCED EQUIPMENT <br />Participating Entities must maintain a <br />Maintenance Agreement on all financed <br />equipment. <br />IX) END OF TERM RELATED ISSUES <br />END OF LIFE <br />Sharp's End -Of -Lease feature is standard on <br />all advanced series MFPs. This feature <br />ensures that all data is overwritten before <br />returning, or relinquishing control of the <br />MFP. Afterthe erasing process is completed, <br />the MFP will be rebooted automatically and <br />a completion report can be printed. <br />HARD DRIVE REMOVAL / REPLACEMENT <br />As directed, the authorized servicing dealer <br />or SBS location will remove the hard drive <br />upon written direction from the Purchasing <br />Entity. <br />The hard drive will be provided to the <br />Purchasing Entity for their disposal.
