(Requirement §201.6(c)(4)(i)) <br />A: See Evaluating and Updating the Plan below. <br />Q&A | ELEMENT A: PLANNING PROCESS | A6c. <br />Q: Does the plan identify how, when, and by whom the plan will be updated during the 5-year cycle? <br />(Requirement §201.6(c)(4)(i)) <br />A: See Evaluating and Updating the Plan below. <br /> <br />Evaluating and Updating the Plan <br />Evaluation <br />At the conclusion of the Annual Implementation Meeting, the Local Mitigation Officer will lead a <br />discussion with the Planning Team on the success (or failure) of the Mitigation Plan to meet the <br />plan goals. The results of that discussion will be added to the Evaluation portion of the Annual <br />Implementation Report and inclusion in the 5-year update to the Plan. Efforts will be made <br />immediately by the Local Mitigation Officer to address any failed plan goals. <br /> <br />Formal Update Process <br />As identified above, the Mitigation Action Items will be monitored for status on an annual basis as <br />well as an evaluation of the Plan’s goals. The Local Mitigation Officer or designee will be <br />responsible for contacting the Planning Team members and organizing the annual meeting which <br />will take place annually during the month of the Plan’s approval. Planning Team members will <br />also be responsible for participating in the formal update to the Plan every fifth year of the planning <br />cycle. <br /> <br />The Planning Team will begin the update process with a review of the plan’s goals and mitigation <br />action items to determine their relevance to changing situations within the City as well as changes <br />in State or Federal policy, and to ensure they are addressing current and expected conditions. <br />The Planning Team will also review the Plan’s Risk Assessment to determine if this information <br />should be updated or modified, given any new available data. The coordinating organizations <br />responsible for the various action items will report on the status of their projects, including the <br />success of various implementation processes, difficulties encountered, success of coordination <br />efforts, and which strategies should be revised. Amendments and updates will be made to the <br />Mitigation Actions Matrix and other sections in the Plan as deemed necessary by the Planning <br />Team. <br />Q&A | ELEMENT A: PLANNING PROCESS | A5 <br />Q: Is there discussion of how the community(ies) will continue public participation in the plan <br />maintenance process?
