1 <br />ARTICLE I <br /> <br />1.0 RECOGNITION <br /> <br />1.1 Pursuant to the provisions of the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act, Government Code Section <br />3500, et seq., the City of Santa Ana (hereinafter called the "City") has recognized the Santa <br />Ana Police Officers Association (herein called the "Association") as the recognized <br />representative of the bargaining unit which includes full-time police department employees <br />in the sworn, "safety-member" classifications and assignments of Police Officer, Police <br />Sergeant, and full-time police department employees in the non-sworn, "miscellaneous- <br />member" classifications and assignments of Animal Service Officer I and II, Background <br />Investigator, Communications Services Officer, Correctional Officer, Correctional <br />Supervisor, Crime Research Aide, Crime Research Analyst, Emergency Operations <br />Coordinator, Firearms Examiner, Forensic Services Supervisor, Forensic Specialist I and <br />II, Parking Control Officer, Police Athletic/Activities League Assistant Director, Police <br />Communications Supervisor, Police Community Services Specialist, Police Evidence and <br />Supply Specialist, Police Evidence and Supply Supervisor, Police Investigative Specialist, <br />Police Photo/Video Specialist, Police Property and Evidence Supervisor, Police Recruit, <br />Police Service Officer, Police Services Dispatcher, Rangemaster, Senior Parking Control <br />Officer, and Traffic Services Specialist, as well as such classifications as may be added <br />hereafter by resolution of the City Council. All other classifications not specifically listed <br />are excluded from representation by the Association. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
