Where required by the fire <br />code official, each application for a permit shall include OCFA’s Chemical <br />Classification Guideline in accordance with Section 5001.5.2. <br /> <br />Chapter 4: Emergency Planning and Preparedness. Only the following <br />Sections listed below are adopted: <br /> <br />1. 401 – 401.9 <br />2. 402 <br />3. 403.2 <br />4. 403.5 – 403.5.4 <br />5. 403.10.2.1.1 <br />6. 403.13 – 403.13.3 <br />7. 404.5 – 404.6.6 <br />8. 407 <br /> <br />Section 18. Section 14-24 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 14-24. - Fire service features (Chapter 5). <br /> <br />Chapter 5 Fire Service Features is adopted in its entirety with the following <br />amendments: <br /> <br />(a) SECTION 501.1 Scope is revised to read as follows: <br />501.1 Scope. Fire service features for buildings, structures and premises shall <br />comply with this chapter and, where required by the fire code official, with OCFA <br />Guideline B-091, “Fire Master Plan for Commercial & Residential Development.” <br />Fire service features for buildings, structures and premises located in <br />State Responsibility Areas, and Local Responsibility Areas designated as <br />Very High Hazard Fire Severity Zone shall also comply with OCFA <br />Guideline B-09a, “Fire Safe Development in State Responsibility Areas, <br />and Local Responsibility Areas designated as Very High Hazard Fire <br />Severity Zone”. <br /> <br />(b) Section 505.1 Address Identification is revised as follows: <br />505.1 Address identification. New and existing buildings shall have <br />approved address numbers, building numbers or approved building <br />identification placed in a position that is plainly legible and visible from the <br />street or road fronting the property. These numbers shall contrast with <br />their background.
