UNDERSTANDING OF NEED <br />The City of Santa Ana is improving and widening some of it's major streets. This <br />contract provides necessary services to accomplish the City's plans. <br />Right of Way is necessary because residents and businesses will need to be <br />relocated. This will be accomplished with Monument's services. They will be <br />providing a survey of businesses and residences that will be impacted by the <br />improvements. They will then provide the City with that survey and begin the <br />appraisal process. Once the appraisals are completed, then the acquisition can <br />begin. Once the City approves all these steps, negotiations for the purchase, <br />and relocation starts. <br />Once properties are vacant. SLS will be notified. We will visit the site, take <br />measurements of all openings. Before pictures are taken at this time. Some <br />times specific requests are made for the board -up as in a door being re -keyed <br />with the City's master key. Or. a combination padlock may be required and set <br />with the City's master code. <br />Once the measurements are taken, a quote is prepared and sent to the Project <br />Manager. SLS begins preparation of materials at this time. Once we receive the <br />Notice to Proceed, SLS is ready to locate to the site and ready to work. When <br />the board -up is completed. after pictures are taken. <br />The invoice is prepared and we attach all the before and after pictures of the <br />work. <br />
