The commercial cannabis business shall ensure a licensed alarm company <br />operator or one (1) or more of its registered alarm agents installs, maintains, <br />monitors and responds to the alarm system. The alarm company shall obtain a <br />City of Santa Ana business license. <br />s. The commercial cannabis business shall provide the name and phone number of <br />an on-site staff person to the police department and the Code Enforcement <br />Division of the Planning and Building Agency for notification if there are operational <br />problems with the establishment. <br />t. The commercial cannabis business must obtain and maintain a valid City business <br />license at all times as a condition for receiving, renewing, and maintaining its <br />regulatory safety permit. <br />u. Occupancy shall not exceed that required under the Uniform Building Code and <br />Uniform Fire Code, and the maximum occupancy load shall be posted at the main <br />entrance. <br />v. For any commercial cannabis business with two (2) or more employees, the <br />business owner shall attest that he/she has entered into a labor peace agreement <br />and provide a copy of the agreement to the City. <br />w. Any individual with an ownership interest shall complete a live scan and submit the <br />results to the City. <br />x. All signage for the commercial cannabis business must comply with Article XI of <br />Chapter 41 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br />y. Inspections by an authorized City of Santa Ana representative may be conducted <br />anytime during the business's regular business hours. <br />4. Additional Operational Standards for Cannabis Retail Business. <br />a. At all times the cannabis retail business is open, it shall provide at least one (1) <br />private security guard who is licensed, possesses a valid Department of Consumer <br />Affairs "security guard card," and has a valid business license from the City of <br />Santa Ana as a security/private patrol service. <br />b. The private security guard and retail cannabis business personnel shall monitor <br />the site and the immediate vicinity of the site to ensure that patrons immediately <br />leave the site and do not consume cannabis in the vicinity of the retail business or <br />on the property or in the parking lot. <br />c. Exterior signage shall comply with Article XI of Chapter 41 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code. Interior signage or advertising may not be visible from the exterior. <br />Retail cannabis businesses must comply with the advertising and marketing <br />provisions of Business and Professions Code §§ 26150—26155.
