Award Youth Agreements funded with federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act <br />funds <br />June 21, 2022 <br />Page 2 <br />2 <br />7 <br />6 <br />7 <br />The Youth Providers recommended for funding have been receiving funds under this <br />procurement cycle and are on track to meet the WIOA Youth Performance Measures for <br />the program year that is ending on June 30, 2022. In addition, Youth Providers are <br />required to collectively enroll and spend 80 percent of funds on Out-of-School Youth and <br />20 percent of funds on work experience activities under WIOA regulations. The <br />contractors are to serve Santa Ana youth ages 16-24, meet low-income guidelines or <br />foster/formerly foster care youth or homeless; and face barriers to education, training and <br />employment. <br />The Employment Development Department released information notice WSIN 21-43 with <br />the PY 2022-23 WIOA formula allocations where the city will receive $881,063 in youth <br />funding (Exhibit 3). <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Allocation of the funds will be recognized in the Federal Grant-Indirect revenue account <br />(account no. 12318002-52001). <br />Funds in the amount of $437,000 for these agreements will available in the WDB Youth <br />Council, Payment to Subagent account (account no. 12318763-69135) upon City <br />Council’s adoption of the Fiscal Year 2022-23 budget. <br />EXHIBIT(S) <br />1.
