I.Information Regarding Complaints <br />A.Nondiscrimination and Equal Opportunity Complaints <br />1.Policy Statement <br />In carrying out the purpose of the Workforce Innovation Oppor tunity Act (WIOA), the <br />City of Santa Ana Local Workforce Development Area (LWDA) will establish <br />programs to prepare youth and unskilled adults for entry into the labor force and to <br />afford job training to those individuals facing serious barriers to employment. Every <br />effort will be made to provide services ne cessary for eligible individuals to obtain <br />productive employment. <br />In implementing WIOA, all contractors in the Santa Ana LWDA will foster equal <br />opportunity and non-discrimination, as provided in State and Federal equal <br />opportunity and non-discrimination laws including, but not limited to: <br />•Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 <br />•Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 <br />•The Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended <br />•Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 <br />•Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 <br />•Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 <br />•Section 188 of the Workforce Innovation Op portunity Act of 2014 <br />In keeping with our commitment, no individual shall be excluded from participation in, <br />denied benefits of, subjected to discrimination under, or denied employment, in the <br />administration or of in connection with any WIOA funded program because of race, <br />color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or political affiliation or belief. <br />Participation in programs and activities financially assisted in whole or in part under <br />WIOA shall be open to citizens and nationals of the United States, lawfully admitted <br />permanent resident aliens, lawfully admitted refugee, parolees, and other individuals <br />authorized by the Attorney General to work in the United States. <br />No individual will be intim idated, threatened, coerced, or discriminated against <br />because of filing a complaint, furn ishing information, or assisting or participating in <br />any manner in an investigation, compliance review, hearing or any other activity <br />related to the administration of WIOA. <br />3 <br />EXHIBIT C <br />EXHIBIT 1
