PLAN ORGANIZATION <br />The PIMP provides direction for the City's enhancement, preservation and maintenance of <br />parks, trails, open space and recreation facilities over the next 10 years. In addition to this <br />chapter (Chapter 1. Introduction), the remainder of this document is organized as follows: <br />CHAPTER 2. PARK SYSTEM <br />OVERVIEW <br />Introduces a new park classification system and <br />provides an overview of key amenities, facilities <br />and services. <br />CHAPTER 3. SANTA ANA <br />COMMUNITY <br />Describes community demographics and <br />priorities from outreach findings. <br />CHAPTER 4. PARK ACCESS, EQUITY <br />AND OPPORTUNITIES <br />Presents a series of maps that show the <br />distribution of parks, service gaps and <br />deficiencies, and areas of greatest needs. <br />CHAPTER 5. FACILITY, TRAILS, AND <br />PROGRAM NEEDS <br />Summarizes findings for parks facilities, trails and <br />programs to define the level of service desired <br />by the community. <br />CHAPTER 6. SYSTEMWIDE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Identifies the vision, values and mission, along <br />with key park and recreation initiatives, policies <br />and implementation strategies. <br />CHAPTER 7. SITE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Summarizes recommendations for existing and <br />proposed parks, introduces park acquisition and <br />development guidelines, and shares case studies <br />to model options for future park transformation. <br />
