Exhibit 1 <br />OTHER RESOURCES <br />The City owns other lands that currently are not used for public recreation. <br />These are counted as agency resources within the parkland inventory. <br />Park Resources are managed by other entities <br />for non -park use as defined through long-term <br />leases or agreements with the City. Examples <br />include sites operated by Santa Ana Unified <br />School District (SAUSD) and the Santa Ana <br />Police Department (SAPD). Depending on the <br />terms of the joint -use agreement, these sites are <br />not accessible to the general public. <br />Undeveloped Parkland are unimproved City - <br />owned properties being held for future park <br />development and recreation use. Sites may not <br />allow current park access. <br />Santa Ana's parkland is distributed throughout <br />the city. Map 2-1 on the following pages <br />shows the location of existing parks and trails. <br />Table 2-1, below, provides a summary of the <br />inventory. The map and table show: <br />Thirty-three of these parks (317 acres) are <br />developed as community -serving parks or <br />neighborhood parks, providing places to play, <br />gather, and experience nature. <br />Fifteen sites (42 acres) are developed as <br />smaller pocket parks, urban plazas, or special <br />use facilities, such as the Santa Ana Zoo at <br />Prentice Park and the Cabrillo Tennis Court. <br />Additionally, the City has six sites (11.7 <br />acres) of undeveloped land or park resources <br />such as the SAPID Training Center. These <br />are not currently used for recreation but are <br />considered a potential resources for future <br />CHAPTER 2: PARK SYSTEM OVERVIEW <br />
