Background <br />During the January 18, 2022 Council meeting, City Council <br />expressed interest in recognizing outstanding individuals who <br />have made a significant impact on their community through <br />the commemorative or honorary naming of streets. <br />The Santa Ana Municipal Code must be amended to include <br />such a program. <br />The Environmental Transportation Advisory Commission (ETAC) <br />established an Ad Hoc Committee, comprised of the ETAC Chair <br />Brain Germain, and Commissioners Nathanial Greensides and <br />Dorian Romero, to develop the municipal code amendment. <br />The amendment and corresponding program documents were <br />approved by ETAC (vote 5-0) on March 8, 2022.
