Jurisdiction Santa Ana <br />Reporting Year 2021 (Jan. 1 - Dec. 31) <br />1 2 3 4 <br />Name of Program Objective Timeframe in H.E Status of Program Implementation <br />Housing Programs Progress Report <br />Describe progress of all programs including local efforts to remove governmental constraints to the maintenance, improvement, and development of housing as identified in the housing element. <br />Table D <br />Program Implementation Status pursuant to GC Section 65583 <br />ANNUAL ELEMENT PROGRESS REPORT <br />Housing Element Implementation <br />(CCR Title 25 §6202) <br />26.Extremely Low Income <br />Housing <br />Target funding and housing incentive <br />programs (25–33), as feasible, to facilitate <br />and encourage the development of lower <br />and moderate income housing. Work with <br />nonprofit organizations that provide <br />affordable housing to households earning <br />extremely low income. Seek to expand the <br />number of housing choice vouchers <br />provided by the Housing Authority; set aside <br />at least 75% of vouchers for extremely low <br />income households. <br />Annually & Ongoing Within the restrictions of available funding and project feasibility,the City continues to <br />work with non-profit organizations to provide affordable housing to extremely low-income <br />households. In 2021 the City released a Request for Proposals for Affordable Housing <br />Development.Included in this RFP is combined funds of over $18 million dollars and 25 <br />project-based vouchers to promote affordabe housing. <br />27. Successor Housing <br />Agency <br />Continue to provide and/or leverage City <br />funds with other sources to support the <br />production, preservation, and/or <br />rehabilitation of housing and economic <br />development. <br />Evaluate Availabilty Annually The City is closing out projects previously funded by Housing Successor Agency funds. <br />The City included one Housing Authority-owned property housing asset in a Request for <br />Proposals for the development of affordable housing on the site.Pre-development work <br />for two homeownership units for moderate income households is underway for a site <br />awarded to Habitat for Humanity in the 2018 Request for Proposal for Affordable <br />Housing Development (also referenced in Goal #41).This project is still underway. <br />There is still one property left that is included in the current Request for Proposal for <br />Affordable Housing Development that closes on Feberuary 28, 2022.
