Jurisdiction Santa Ana <br />Reporting Year 2021 (Jan. 1 - Dec. 31) <br />1 2 3 4 <br />Name of Program Objective Timeframe in H.E Status of Program Implementation <br />Housing Programs Progress Report <br />Describe progress of all programs including local efforts to remove governmental constraints to the maintenance, improvement, and development of housing as identified in the housing element. <br />Table D <br />Program Implementation Status pursuant to GC Section 65583 <br />ANNUAL ELEMENT PROGRESS REPORT <br />Housing Element Implementation <br />(CCR Title 25 §6202) <br />30. Adaptive Reuse Seek opportunities for adaptive reuse of <br />structures with historic merit or otherwise <br />suitable to be converted to quality <br />residential and mixed use projects. <br />Ongoing The City continues to promote its Adaptive Reuse Ordinace. In 2021, the conversion of a <br />10-story office building into a 146-unit development (888 On Main) was completed. <br />31. Specific Development <br />District <br />Continue to facilitate quality development in <br />District Centers and other locales through <br />the implementation of the Specific <br />Development District. <br />Ongoing The City continues to encourage and facilitate mixed-use and residential developments <br />within District Centers. <br />32. Variety in Household <br />Sizes Program <br />Implement programs to increase <br />opportunities to build new family rental <br />housing (see Program 25), including rental <br />housing for large families. Monitor <br />applications for new residential <br />development to track type of products <br />proposed and balance of unit sizes and <br />bedrooms proposed. <br />Ongoing Residential proposals and bedrooms mixes are reviewed during the Development Project <br />Review process. During this process, the City continues to incourage the development of <br />larger units with 3 to 4 bedrooms. An annual monitoring system is in place to identify the <br />balance of bedroom sizes provided citywide.
