Supportive Services Assist and work with service organizations <br />to provide supportive services for current <br />and formerly homeless people. Encourage <br />nonprofit and volunteer organizations to <br />improve the coordination and efficiency of <br />food distribution for the homeless and at <br />risk in the Civic Center area. <br />Ongoing The Emergency Solutions Grant administered by the City provides funds to non-profit <br />homeless service providers to provide supportive services.Currently the Carnegie <br />Shelter is under construction and will provide 200 beds and is expected to open Spring of <br />2022 to provide services to homeless individuals.Casa Querencia PSH opened in the <br />summer of 2021 and includes ten units specifically for seniors.Many of the individuals <br />housed in these units came from the City’s temporary Link Shelter. <br />49. Housing Facilities Continue to offer development incentives <br />and density bonuses to incentivize senior <br />housing. Work with nonprofit and for-profit <br />agencies that propose the construction of <br />senior housing. <br />Ongoing Consistent with State law,the City continues to offer density bonus incentives for <br />affordable housing,including senior living.The City continues to engage in dialogue with <br />developers and non-profit organizations for new senior housing opportunities.In 2019, <br />the City approved a Density Bonus Agreement for the development of three projects:a <br />220-unit mixed use commercial and residential development with 11 affordable units <br />(First American);a 552-unit affordable rental project (First Point I and II);and a 93-unit <br />affordable rental project (Legacy Square)(also referenced in Goal #28).As of 2021, <br />Legacy Square is going to be complete in February 2023.First Point is currently leasing. <br />First American is currently under construction.
