2 <br /> <br />B. Security Guard Main Responsibilities & Requirements: <br />1) Maintain direct communication with stakeholders such as City staff and <br />his/her designee, business owners, business employees, residents, visitors <br />and have the ability to share contact information such as a work-cell <br />phone. <br />2) Provide a positive and enforcement presence to deter negative activity <br />and to promote safety in DTSA. <br />3) Monitor, observe, and report illegal activities, suspicious activities, and <br />provide assistance to merchants, businesses, residents, and City staff. <br />4) Visually inspect and observe outdoor designated checkpoints at regular <br />intervals to maintain adequate security coverage throughout DTSA. <br />5) Contact Santa Ana Police Department when necessary upon <br />observance of suspicious behavior or criminal activity such as <br />vandalism. <br />6) Submit daily activity reports within six hours of prior security shift, noting <br />any security incidents, suspicious activities, or calls to Santa Ana Police <br />Department. <br />7) The security guard services include, but are not limited to: patrolling <br />areas by foot, bicycle or street-legal cart; monitoring and responding to <br />security issues, and performing the post orders and pass down duties. <br /> <br />C. Supervisor Requirements <br />1) Has at least 12 months prior work experience as a security guard <br />supervisor. Include this information as part of the requirement for Exh. A., <br />Section 1.02.4. <br />2) Has training and supervisory experience commensurate with the <br />requirements as specified herein. <br />3) Ensure that all posts have an approved security guard at all times and <br />for the duration required. <br />4) Ensure that the Contractor provides an approved security guard for any <br />late, absent or dismissed security guards. <br />5) Act as the liaison between City and Contractor regarding all issues <br />pertaining to security guard and performance. <br />6) Supervisor must be available whenever guard shifts are being <br />performed, including holidays, by telephone to respond to any issues <br />that may arise as specified herein and respond to any such inquiries in a <br />timely manner while implementing appropriate resolution actions. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT 1
