Balancing Act Software Suite for Budget Education, Engagement, and Transparency <br />November 2, 2021 <br />Page 2 <br />2 <br />1 <br />9 <br />0 <br />such as those within the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and/or Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. <br />The Taxpayer Receipt app asks a few questions to generate an estimate of taxes <br />paid and then creates a “receipt” showing how much a resident pays for each <br />service, which demonstrates the value of a service provided by the City. <br /> <br />The Balancing Act software is currently used by the cities of Corona (Tax Receipt & <br />Balancing Act) and Anaheim (Balancing Act). The annual subscription also includes an <br />unlimited subscription to Analytics, which provides detailed insight into who is using the <br />simulation and how they would balance tradeoffs, and Meeting Mode, which modifies <br />Balancing Act for use in face-to-face or online synchronous meetings. Onboarding <br />services and unlimited technical support are included. Balancing Act is a SaaS product <br />and requires no installation. <br />The annual subscription is $10,000 and a contingency of $5,000 has been included for <br />any customization to meet the City’s reporting requirements.
