City of Santa Ana RFP 21-119 <br />Page A1-2 <br /> <br /> Park Roadway improvements at Castor Street, including gate, bollards and entrance <br />signage <br /> Walkways <br /> Pet Proof Fence and Gate which include dog park entry corals <br /> Agility Course Features <br /> Small Auditorium in Large Dog space meant to view dog shows <br /> Dog Training Area <br /> Optimal Surface Material for dog parks and children’s playgrounds <br /> Children’s Play Area with Playground Equipment <br /> Restrooms <br /> California Native landscaping, including trees <br /> Site Lighting <br /> Site Amenities, including waste bag dispensers, trash cans, drinking fountains with pet <br />bowls, interpretive signage, information board, benches, shade features, picnic tables, <br />bike racks <br /> Drainage which utilizes “Low Impact Development” concepts with goal for full site <br />infiltration. <br /> Storm Water Mitigation <br />The improved area is to be utilized Citywide by dog owners, and families with children and by <br />various programs conducted by the Santa Ana Parks, Recreation and Community Service staff. <br />Consultant Responsibilities: <br />The Consultant’s responsibilities include the following, and shall consist of the following project <br />tasks: <br />Consultant is responsible for providing all concept design as required for all components within the <br />project scope of work. <br />Consultant will also be responsible for facilitating up to six (6) meetings with City Staff and up to <br />four (4) public outreach meetings to obtain input and finalize concept plan. Consultant should provide <br />knowledge and share feedback on ideal dog park designs. <br />Consultant shall provide review sets in .pdf format. <br />Phase 1: Overall Layout Concept <br />Preliminary overall layout concept phase shall include Kick-off meeting with City Staff to discuss <br />scope of work, project goals and objectives, potential elements and issues and schedule. Pre-Final <br />Concept plan will also include up to three (3) meetings with City Staff (facilitated by consultant) to <br />obtain input and finalize layout concept plan in order to proceed to Phase 2. Consultant shall assist in <br />attaining community feedback, which may include up to two (2) community meetings. <br /> Overall layout concept shall include logistical elements such as considering different public <br />entry points, potential parking, and general park organization.
