<br />B-1 <br />4826-7904-2280v7/200434-0005 <br />APPENDIX B <br />ECONOMIC AND DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION <br />REGARDING THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />This appendix sets forth general economic and demographic information in and about the City of Santa <br />Ana (“Santa Ana”) including information with respect to its finances. The following information concerning <br />Santa Ana, County of Orange (the “County”) and the State of California (the “State”) is included only for <br />general background purposes. It is not intended to suggest that the Bonds are payable from any source other <br />than Deposit Amounts. <br />Most of the information in this Appendix is dated prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which <br />has had a significant adverse impact on the nation, State and local economy, including, but not limited to, a <br />dramatic increase in unemployment levels. It is calculated as the <br />sum of wage and salary disbursements, supplements to wages and salaries, proprietors’ income with inventory <br />valuation and capital consumption adjustments, rental income of persons with capital consumption adjustment, <br />personal dividend income, personal interest income, and personal current transfer receipts, less contributions for <br />government social insurance. <br />The personal income of an area is the income that is received by, or on behalf of, all the individuals who <br />live in the area; therefore, the estimates of personal income are presented by the place of residence of the income <br />recipients.
