RainbowCrosswalks inDowntownSantaAnaItwillcostapproximately $8,000toinstallonerainbowcrosswalkleg. Iftherearefourcrosswalksatanintersectionandallfourcrosswalksaretobepaintedwithrainbowcrosswalks, itwillcost approximately $32,000topaintall fourcrosswalks. Ifthereismorethanonecrosswalkataparticularintersection, staffrecommendsthatallthemarkedcrosswalksattheintersectionbepaintedrainbowcolorstomatch. <br />Staff <br />hasidentifiedthecrosswalksonBroadwayat2ndStreetasapossiblelocationtoinstallrainbowcrosswalks. ThedesignwouldneedtocomplywiththeCaliforniaManualonUniformTrafficControlDevices (CAMUTCD) requirements, which, amongotherspecifications, requirethatthewhiteouterlinesremain.
