<br /> <br /> <br />Coronavirus Emergency Rental Relief Fund for Tenants Page | 4 <br />Program Guidelines as of June 1, 2021 <br />Here is a flowchart of how the CARES for Tenants Program works: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The tenant is approved for <br />emergency rental assistance. <br />The United Way of Orange <br />County will begin to work with <br />the tenant’s landlord to request a <br />W-9 to make a payment for a <br />maximum of 15 months of rental <br />arrears to the landlord on behalf <br />of the tenant. <br />A check or direct deposit payment <br />will be issued by the United Way <br />of Orange County to the landlord. <br />The tenant is notified in writing <br />that their landlord has been paid <br />and the total amount paid toward <br />rental arrears. <br />EXHIBIT 3
