Public Works Agency <br />https://www.santa-ana.org/pw <br />Item # 15 <br />City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br /> Staff Report <br />June 15, 2021 <br />TOPIC: Purchase of One Chevrolet Traverse and Four Chevrolet Colorados <br />AGENDA TITLE <br />Award a Purchase Order in the Amount of $187,790 to Winner Chevrolet Inc., for One <br />Chevrolet Traverse and Four Chevrolet Colorados (Specification No. 21-058) (Non- <br />General Fund) <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Authorize a one-time purchase and payment of purchase order to Winner Chevrolet Inc. <br />for one Chevrolet Traverse and four Chevrolet Colorados in the amount of $187,790 plus <br />a contingency of $10,000, for a total amount not to exceed $197,790, subject to non- <br />substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Public Works Agency’s Water Resources Division is responsible for developing and <br />effectively managing the City's water resources and sewer programs. The Water <br />Resources Division’s Administrative and Engineering sections are responsible for the <br />following: developing, planning and managing capital projects, coordinating the water and <br />sewer system replacement priorities, protecting water quality and supply, managing <br />deferred maintenance systems, and updating and managing the digital map records of all <br />water and sewer system infrastructure components. <br />The Administration and Engineering sections are expanding, and as such, are in need of <br />five vehicles. Staff utilizes City vehicles daily to conduct site visits, attend meetings, and <br />perform the various functions, which help to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality <br />water services to customers in the City of Santa Ana. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids for these vehicles was advertised on April 15, 2021, on the City’s <br />online bid management and publication system. A summary of the bid invitation and bids <br />received is as follows: <br />314 Vendors were notified <br />20 Santa Ana vendors were notified <br />8 Vendors downloaded the bid packet <br />2 Bids received <br />0 Bids received from Santa Ana vendors
