LR 6/15/21 <br />Resolution No. 2021-XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021-XXX <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />APPROVING REVISED BYLAWS FOR THE YOUTH COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, on September 1, 2020, Ordinance No. NS-2992 was adopted by the City <br />Council, modernizing the municipal code by organizing and consolidating all boards, commission, <br />and committee matters into Chapter 2; and <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. NS-2992 made changes to various municipal code provisions <br />relating to the City’s appointed boards and commission including centralizing the general <br />requirements applicable to all boards and commission in one location; <br />WHEREAS, revised bylaws for the Youth Commission were developed to be in alignment <br />with Ordinance No. NS-2992 in this respect and others; and <br />WHEREAS, Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 2-453 requires that the City Council <br />approve the Youth Commission bylaws. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana as <br />follows: <br />Section 1. The revised bylaws for the Youth Commission, attached as Exhibit A, are <br />hereby approved. <br />Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City <br />Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting this Resolution. <br />ADOPTED this ___ day of June, 2021. <br />Vicente Sarmiento <br />Mayor <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />Sonia R.
