Proposed Youth Commission Bylaw Amendments <br />June 15, 2021 <br />Page 2 <br />1 <br />7 <br />8 <br />1 <br />On September 1, 2020, the City Council adopted an Ordinance of the City Council <br />amending SAMC Chapter 2, Articles I and IV and repealing Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />Sections 33-183 and Sections 33-184. <br />On April 23, 2021, the Youth Commission reviewed and discussed the proposed bylaw <br />amendments. <br />On May 21, 2021, the Youth Commission by majority vote recommend the City Council <br />approve the proposed bylaws. <br />Amendments to the SAMC related to the Youth Commission requires bylaw <br />amendments. The bylaw amendment process includes the following: <br />1. Youth Commission review and discuss proposed bylaw amendments. <br />2. Legal counsel review and provide input to proposed bylaw amendments. <br />3. Youth Commission review the amended bylaws and by majority vote recommend <br />the City Council approve the proposed bylaws. <br />4. City Council approve bylaws pursuant to SAMC Section 2-453. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated to this action. <br />EXHIBIT(S) <br />1.
