Authorize the City Manager to execute Addendum No. 1 to the Purchase and Sale <br />Agreement with Orange County Transportation Authority, A-2018-175, to increase the <br />compensation to the City by $5,775, subject to non -substantive changes approved by <br />the City Manager and the City Attorney. <br />2. Approve an Appropriation Adjustment of $5,775 in the Select Street Construction fund, <br />from the proceeds of the sale listed in above. <br />3. Approve an Appropriation Adjustment of $200,000 in the Select Street Construction <br />fund, from the fund balance that includes $200,000 of proceeds from sale of an <br />easement approved by Council on July 17, 2018. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On July 17, 2018 the City agreed to sell two easements at the City Hall parking lot to the <br />Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), at an appraised value of $200,000, for <br />an OC Streetcar traction power substation (TPSS) (Exhibit 1). Additionally, the City <br />agreed to identify a permanent easement at the Santa Ana Regional Transportation <br />Center (SARTC) for use at no cost to OCTA. The intent of these easements was to bring <br />necessary utilities to and from the TPSSs. The $200,000 proceeds from the sale of the <br />easement were recognized with an appropriation adjustment approved by Council on July <br />17, 2018. However, the funds were not added to Project 17-6766 for future expenditure <br />and therefore not included in the Council approved carryforward for Fiscal Year 2020-21. <br />Upon approval of the requested appropriation adjustments, funds in the amount of <br />$205,775 will be available for any unforeseen expenditures related to the implementation <br />of the OC Streetcar route in Santa Ana. <br />
