CITY OF SA)_ TA ANA <br />ADVERTISEMENT <br />PROJECT NO.: 21-6907 <br />LOCAL STREET PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE FY 20-21 <br />COMMUNITY WORKFORCE AGREEMENT <br />For projects with bids greater than $250,000 for prime multi -trade construction contracts <br />(including all subcontractors) or over $100,000 for specialty contracts (contracts either limited to <br />a single trade or craft or limited to a singular scope of work), the CONTRACTOR shall adhere to <br />the CITY'S Community Workforce Agreement (CWA). This project is considered a prime <br />multi -trade construction contract. The CWA is a pre -hire collective bargaining agreement, <br />which establishes the labor relations policies and procedures for CONTRACTOR to follow in <br />the crafts persons employed to complete the WORK OF IMPROVEMENT as more fully <br />described in the CWA. The CWA is incorporated by reference in the Construction Contract. A <br />copy of the CWA may be found on the City's website at: <br />http://www.santa-,qaa.org/pwa/documen!L/CWA.tp)df. <br />This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the State of California <br />Department of Industrial Relations, per Section 1771.4.a.1. BIDDERS are required to inform <br />themselves fully of the conditions relating to construction and labor under which the work will <br />be performed. Any contract entered into pursuant to this notice will incorporate the provisions of <br />the California State Labor Code. <br />In accordance with the California State Labor Code, prevailing wage rates apply. Copies of the <br />prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file with the Public Works Agency and shall be made <br />available to any interested party on request. <br />A Contractor and any subcontractor must be registered with the Department of Industrial <br />Relations prior to submitting a bid or otherwise have the ability to be registered prior to contract <br />award per Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the California Business and Professions Code. "A <br />contractor and any subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, <br />subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the California Public Contract Code, or engage in <br />the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently <br />registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. It is not a violation <br />of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 <br />of the California Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 201015 of the <br />California Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work <br />pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded.
