Funding HOME: $8,381,309 <br />Description HOME funds will be used for activities related to new construction or <br />acquisition and rehabilitation of affordable rental or ownership <br />housing and provide financial assistance to low-income homebuyers. <br />Target Date 6/30/2022 <br />Estimate the number <br />and type of families <br />that will benefit from <br />the proposed activities <br />Through this project, 24 income-eligible households will benefit from <br />new construction and rehabilitation activities <br />Location Description The City will identify eligible projects citywide. <br />Planned Activities Through an RFP process, identify eligible new construction, <br />acquisition, or rehabilitation activities to increase the supply of <br />affordable housing within the City of Santa Ana. <br />Projects that are tentatively identified for HOME assistance include: <br />Crossroads at Washington – new multi-family apartment complex <br />consisting of 85 units of affordable rental housing for households <br />earning 30% or less of AMI. Construction is currently scheduled to be <br />completed in December 2023. HOME assistance of approximately <br />$3,007,489 will support the construction of 16 HOME-assisted units. <br />Westview House – new multi-family apartment complex consisting of <br />85 units for large families and permanent supportive housing. <br />Construction is currently scheduled to be completed in September <br />2023. HOME assistance of approximately $2,003,705 will support the <br />construction of 9 HOME-assisted units. <br />13 Project Name HOME CHDO <br />Target Area n/a – The City does not use target areas for CPD funding <br />Goals Supported Affordable Housing Development, Maintenance, and Preservation <br />Needs Addressed Preserve the supply of affordable housing; expand the supply of <br />affordable housing <br />Funding HOME: $255,935 <br />EXHIBIT 1
