<br />AGENDA TITLE
<br />Approve Amendments to the Agreements With Tetra Tech, Michael Baker International,
<br />Inc., Psomas, Stantec Consulting Services, Inc., NV5, Inc., Huitt-Zollars, Inc., Kimley-
<br />Horn and Associates, Inc., and TAIT & Associates, Inc., for On -Call Engineering Services,
<br />to Increase the Aggregate Amount by $950,000, for a Total Amount not to Exceed
<br />$2,950,000 for the Remaining Term of the Agreement (Non -General Fund)
<br />RECOMMENDED ACTION
<br />Authorize the City Manager to execute amendments to the agreements to provide on -call
<br />engineering services with Tetra Tech, Michael Baker International, Inc., Psomas; Stantec
<br />Consulting Services, Inc., NV5, Inc., Huitt-Zollars, Inc., Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.,
<br />and TAIT & Associates, Inc., to increase the agreement amount by $950,000, for a total
<br />aggregate agreement amount not to exceed $2,950,000, for the remaining term of the
<br />agreement which began on April 21, 2020, and expires on April 21, 2023, with a provision
<br />for one two-year extension exercisable by the City Manager and City Attorney, subject to
<br />non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney.
<br />DISCUSSION
<br />On April 21, 2020, City Council approved agreements with Tetra Tech, Michael Baker
<br />International, Inc., Psomas, Stantec Consulting Services, Inc., NV5, Inc., Huitt-Zollars,
<br />Inc., Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., and TAIT & Assocites, Inc. to provide on -call
<br />engineering services for the Public Works Agency, Water Resources Division. To date,
<br />staff has utilized these consultants to provide professional engineering design and cost
<br />estimation work for several civil works projects for the Water Resources Division relating
<br />to water, sewer, and recycled water facilities and systems. These projects have included
<br />water main improvements on South Main Street, sewer system improvements in the
<br />Willard neighborhood, and the future Washington Avenue Well.
<br />The original agreement was awarded in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 for a three-
<br />year term, with the provision for one two-year extensions. Staff recommends amending
<br />the agreements to increase the funding amount by $950,000 for the remainder of the term
<br />to allow these services to be utilized for additional civil works projects included in the
<br />current and future fiscal years' Capital Improvement Programs (CIPs). The additional
