Legal Momentum, Washington, D.C. – February 2003 – December 2005 <br /> Staff Attorney, Immigrant Women Program <br />Provided technical assistance, training, and legislative advocacy for immigrant <br />women’s rights in the United States. Trained attorneys and advocates on the <br />intersection of family law, immigration law, and domestic violence. Developed <br />training curricula through funding with the U.S. Department of Justice, Office on <br />Violence Against Women, on domestic violence, sexual assault, cultural competency, <br />family and immigration law. <br /> <br />The Legal Aid Society of New York, Civil Division, New York City, NY – September 1999 – <br />March 2003 <br /> Equal Justice Works Fellow, Staff Attorney <br />Developed and directed a project providing direct representation to immigrant <br />victims of domestic violence in the areas of family law, immigration, public benefits, <br />and housing.
