<br />Recovery from Disaster - The <br />Local Community Role (G205) <br />This course introduces disaster recovery <br />principles, practices and policies relating to <br />Public Assistance and Individual Assistance <br />programs and guidance on developing a local <br />disaster recovery plan for community <br />resiliency. The course discusses recovery <br />planning at the local, state and federal levels. <br />Examples are used from real disaster events by <br />incorporating activities to support participant <br />learning throughout the course and giving <br />participants the opportunity to develop an <br />outline of their own recovery plan. <br />$22,000 <br />Emergency Management <br />Concepts <br />This course introduces participants to key <br />emergency management principles that will <br />enhance their capabilities to work in a Local, <br />Operational Area, Regional, or State <br />Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Course <br />content includes Essential EOC <br />Section/Position training and a series of <br />progressive table top and functional exercises. <br />$40,000 <br />Emergency Planning (G235) This course provides an overview of the <br />critical function of emergency planning in <br />incident response and recovery. Topics <br />covered include the range of human services <br />and legal considerations that are part of an <br />effective “whole community” planning effort. <br />Participants learn the tools and techniques <br />found in FEMA’s Comprehensive Planning <br />Guide (CPG 101) and the step-by-step process <br />to develop an all-hazard Emergency <br />Operations Plan (EOP). The methodology to <br />link local jurisdiction plans with State and <br />Federal plans is also reviewed along with a <br />practicum exercise to enhance student <br />learning. <br />$20,000 <br />EOC Action Planning (G626) This course focuses on an Emergency <br />Operations Center's action planning process. <br />Participants learn what the action plan <br />contains and the process to develop an action <br />plan. Content includes what each SEMS <br />Section contributes to develop the action plan <br />and the individual's role. <br />$20,000
