Information Technology <br />www.santa-ana.org/it <br />i Item # 14 <br />City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br />Staff Report <br />February 2, 2021 <br />TOPIC: Agreements for As -Needed Information Technology Services <br />AGENDA TITLE: <br />Approve agreements for as -needed Information Technology professional services in an <br />aggregate annual amount not to exceed $3,000,000 (Non -General Fund) <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Authorize the City Manager to execute four (4) as -needed information technology <br />professional services agreements with the firms listed below, subject to non -substantive <br />changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney, each for a (4) four-year term <br />expiring February 1, 2025, with the potential for one (1) additional (2) two-year renewal <br />term, exercisable by the City Manager and the City, for a total aggregate amount for all <br />four vendors, not -to -exceed $3,000,000 annually and $18,000,000 over the life of the <br />agreements if all extensions are utilized, subject non -substantive changes approved by <br />the City Manager and City Attorney: <br />• Sierra Cybernetics, Inc. <br />• Intratek Computer, Inc. <br />• West Advanced Technologies, Inc. <br />• Infojini, Inc. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The City of Santa Ana leverages new technology to reduce costs, increase efficiency, <br />and improve service delivery. To facilitate the adoption of new technology and maintain <br />reliable operations of existing technology, the Information Technology Department utilizes <br />professional and technical services from private sector firms on an operational and project <br />basis to assist in upgrading, replacing, implementing, and supporting information and <br />communications systems. <br />This sourcing strategy is cost-effective and responsive to our customer departments' <br />needs. It allows the Information Technology Department to quickly acquire the specific <br />technical expertise required for a project, while not incurring ongoing fixed costs once it <br />is complete and the specific skills are no longer needed.
